Apartment refurnishment in Amsterdam
Space economy and multi-functionality are the main features of this project. Situated in one of the typically narrow Amsterdam housing buildings, this 40 m2 apartment was a challenge about maximizing a limited space. The definition of the different zones is achieved by the introduction of a sculptural volume that contains several functions like bedroom, printing stop or ironing room, without compromising the continuity of the space. Polycarbonate walls are used to define the wet room, giving it an industrial vibe, and the cactus terraces bring the natural and warm feeling of the south to the rainy Dutch city.
